This week has seen two days of stump grinding completed with roughly 50 stumps removed and the affected areas marked GUR. We hope this will make for smoother travelling around the course.
Six new ball washers have been installed around the course with more to come soon. Now you have no excuse to play with dirty balls!
Big changes happening behind the 9th and 18th greens as we demolish and remove the existing path to re-lay a new path that will allow wheelchair access to our new training facility. It is a huge job to be completed by our team before the facility opening, so big in fact that we even had our very own General Manger Aaron out on the concrete saw for several hours.
As mentioned in previous updates we have started our weed eradication program for Spring. You may have noticed weeds in and around the greens have begun disappearing and you will soon notice the same happening on fairways. This will be accompanied by a yellowing of the fairways as the herbicide applied to the fairways this week causes phytotoxicity in the Greenlees Park couch while it kills off the weed species. This is normal and will be offset by the 2.5 tonne of fertiliser we applied to the fairways last week.
Finally, the maintenance team would like to wish everyone competing in the final round of the Club Champs this Saturday good luck and we hope the course treats you well.
