A very welcome 26mm of rain was received over the weekend after our annual course renovations. This gift from up above couldn’t have come at a better time considering how dry the entire course was. Both dams now are at 100% which holds us in good stead for the coming months.

Our renovations were very successful with the 3 days of destruction running without a glitch. On average we removed 2 full trailer loads of thatch from each green after they were scarified @-4mm in two different directions & mowed off @3mm.

We will continue to top-dress weekly so as to fill all the core holes with new growing media. 64t of sand blended with gypsum has been applied so far. With a total of 130mm of rainfall during November, the playing surface on both greens & tees has returned to play in the allocated time.

With the rollers now going out 3 times a week we will have the speed back in the greens in no time.
